Dynamic Fees

Fables adjusts swap fees around the assets being traded. Depending on the market, fees can reflect trading hours, volatility, price divergence and the direction of a trade.

Dynamic fees in practice

Each pool has an on-chain baseline: either a calendar schedule or a configured resting fee. Supported pools can apply temporary fee adjustments within configured limits.

The off-chain keeper

Authorised off-chain software can observe market conditions and write a temporary fee for a configured pool. The keeper is an operator for fee updates, not a source of custody: it does not move liquidity or change balances.

What can change

A temporary fee can move only inside the pool's configured bounds. Broader configuration changes remain separate from the ordinary fee-adjustment path.

Why fees matter to LPs

Dynamic fees are intended to better match pool pricing to market conditions, which is particularly relevant when liquidity providers face different risks across crypto, tokenized equities and other assets.
